CAVERO SECURE LIMITED PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Cavero Secure respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through caverosecure.com (the "Site") and in the course of our business contacts, why we collect it, what we do with it, and your rights over it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Cavero Secure Limited is the data controller, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17425872) with its registered office at Nexus, Discovery Way, Leeds, England, LS2 3AA. Cavero Secure Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cavero Quantum Limited (company number 13028884). For any privacy matter, contact us at privacy@caverosecure.com or by post at the address above.

2. The data we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us, request a demonstration, sign up for updates, register for an event or webinar, or apply to work with us, we collect the information you provide - typically your name, business email address, organisation, job title, telephone number and the content of your message. Our demonstration applications may also record the inputs you provide while you use them.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our service providers and we collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited, referral source, and how you interact with pages. We collect this through server logs and cookies and similar technologies - see section 8.

Information from other sources. If you interact with us at an event, through a partner, or on professional networks such as LinkedIn, we may record your business contact details. We do not buy marketing lists.

The Site is aimed at businesses and professionals and is not intended for children; we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

3. Why we use your data, and our lawful bases

We use personal data: to respond to your enquiries and demonstration requests (our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence, or steps taken at your request prior to a contract); to administer and improve the Site, keep it secure, and understand how it is used (legitimate interests, and consent where required for non-essential cookies); to send you updates about Cavero Secure, our products and events where you have asked for them or where we are otherwise permitted to send business-to-business marketing (legitimate interests or consent - you can opt out at any time using the link in every message or by contacting us); to manage our relationships with customers, prospective customers and partners, including maintaining records in our customer-relationship system (legitimate interests or performance of a contract); to consider applications to work with us (steps taken at your request prior to a contract); and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell personal data.

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data with service providers who process it on our instructions, including our website hosting provider, our customer-relationship and marketing platform (HubSpot), our email and productivity providers, and our website analytics provider. We may also share data with our professional advisers, with regulators or authorities where the law requires it, and, in the event of a corporate transaction such as a merger, investment or reorganisation, with the parties to that transaction under appropriate confidentiality obligations. We require all third-party processors to protect personal data in line with the law and to process it only for the purposes we specify.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place - an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Details of the safeguards applying to a particular transfer are available on request.

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes described above: enquiry and marketing records for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards (up to three years from our last contact with you); records connected with a contract for the duration of the contract and for up to six years afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations; and recruitment records for six months after a decision unless you agree we may keep them longer. We retain technical logs for shorter operational periods. When we no longer need data, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to: access a copy of it; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased in certain circumstances; object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time; restrict processing in certain circumstances; data portability in certain circumstances; and withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis for processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@caverosecure.com. We will respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, we would appreciate the chance to resolve it first - but you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), or to the supervisory authority in your country if you are outside the UK.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies make the Site work - these do not require consent. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Site and, where deployed, marketing cookies set by our customer-relationship platform to recognise returning visitors. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the Site footer, and control cookies through your browser settings. Embedded third-party content, such as videos hosted on external platforms, may set its own cookies when you play it, governed by the relevant provider's policy.

9. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, including encryption in transit, access controls and staff confidentiality obligations. As a security company, we take this seriously - but no transmission over the internet is entirely secure, and any transmission is at your own risk until it reaches us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and we will highlight significant changes on the Site.
